My baby is eight years old, and I think she may become a poet, even though her reading abilities have yet to catch up with her intellectual abilities.
Her most recent similes include:
“When I get through brushing my hair, it’s gonna shine like the top of the Chrysler Building!”
“My feet stink like a cow that just manured!”
“I’m as tired as a baby horse!”
Haha, I laughed at this one: “My feet stink like a cow that just manured!”
That’s adorable! So, so, cute! Don’t hesitate to post more that she comes up with! They’re brilliant!
It’s good that you’re writing these down. Happy Birthday to your daughter.
Love those similes of Z-Baby’s! I’m not sure which one is my favorite. Maybe “I’m as tired as a baby horse.”
I love it, Sherry! Especially the “manured” one. . .thanks for posting!
This New Yorker particularly appreciated the Chrysler Building simile–it really *is* shiny!
Other favorite children’s NYC building references: The City Cork and The Entire State Building.
And did you know that Z-Baby is the name of a very chic children’s clothing store in NYC? Perhaps so. Have just discovered this blog and am back reading!
