Molly at My Three Pennies Worth wrote a nice long article about educating preschoolers at home. It’s definitely worth your time if you have or plan to have preschool children for whose education and nurture you are responsible. Then, I went to Molly’s blog and read all about Taming the Wild Toddler, a great resource on how to “tame” wild little boys.
“Unless you feel that you absolutely must, please do not go spend hundreds of dollars on a packaged “Preschool-at-Home Program” for your child. You already have almost all the resources you need at your fingertips. Just involve your child in your daily life!”
“Don’t assume learning is something you must force upon your child. Assume that he loves it already, and that your job is simply to continue to make it a joyful adventure-filled pursuit.”
This article was my first workshop at the Online Homeschool Convention, and it was a good start. I’ll be back tomorrow for another dose of homeschool wisdom and inspiration.
