“Give me books, fruit, French wine, and fine weather and a little music out of doors, played by somebody I do not know.”
~John Keats
Welcome to this week’s Saturday Review of Books.
Here’s how it usually works. Find a review on your blog posted sometime this week of a book you’re reading or a book you’ve read. The review doesn’t have to be a formal sort of thing. You can just write your thoughts on a particular book, a few ideas inspired by reading the book, your evaluation, quotations, whatever.
Now post a link here to the specific post where you’ve written your book review. Don’t link to your main blog page because this kind of link makes it hard to find the book review, especially when people drop in later after you’ve added new content to your blog. In parentheses after your name, add the title of the book you’re reviewing. This addition will help people to find the reviews they’re most interested in reading.
Thanks to everyone for participating.

Thanks for hosting as always, Sherry, especially as you’re taking a break during the Lenten season.
Oops! I was trying to put up both mine and Cassandra’s reviews, and forgot to change the title of the book in parenthesis, so number 30 is wrong, if you get a chance to pull it down!
Thanks!
Never mind, I figured it out!
Hope your blog break is refreshing. Thanks for hosting the review.
Always a delight to visit here and read about good books. Ditto Janet’s comment.
I have a couple of extras this week because I missed last week due to vacation.
Enjoy the break, relax, meditate, regain emotional strength.
Morning, all! Today’s my birthday, and I’m feeling good that books are such an important part of my life–my life matches up with my values. This week was a nice mix–collection of poetry, comic-book memoir, and a novel about New Orleans and Hurricane Katrina that I recommend especially for those who love Grapes of Wrath. It’s a novel about America and social justice and it really moved me.
I can’t find Mr. Linky!!
I posted about The ZooKeeper’s Wife.
