“A book is a gift you can open again and again.”
~Garrison Keillor
Ah, a much better sentiment from Mr. Keillor this week than last. Give books this Christmas.
Welcome to this week’s Saturday Review of Books.
Here’s how it works. Find a review on your blog posted sometime this week of a book you’re reading or a book you’ve read. The review doesn’t have to be a formal sort of thing. You can just write your thoughts on a particular book, a few ideas inspired by reading the book, your evaluation, quotations, whatever.
Now post a link here to the specific post where you’ve written your book review. Don’t link to your main blog page because this kind of link makes it hard to find the book review, especially when people drop in later after you’ve added new content to your blog. In parentheses after your name, add the title of the book you’re reviewing. This addition will help people to find the reviews they’re most interested in reading.

Woo Hoo! I get to be first this week 🙂
Simple pleasures.
Thanks!

Much better, Mr. Keillor!
Happy Holidays, Sherry!! Love the quote and the tree picture :)!
Thank you again for doing this. I love seeing what others are reading, and I love the A – Z section for reading previous weeks/months!
Thanks for doing this again. I had a productive review week and I remembered to post them on Saturday, rather than on Sunday. Have a great holiday.
I posted Read Aloud Thursday again!
Love the quote!
Merry Christmas!
Happy Holidays to you all! This weekly gig is fun 🙂
A bad week for reading. I could only manage a pop-psych parenting book, though it did give me much to think about. I’m going to try for Christmas Carol and Child’s Christmas in Wales this week, and maybe even see if my 5yo son will sit still for them.

Is that your daughter in the pic? Love the skates. LOL. Thanks for hosting this. I posted my one review (pitiful I know) but haven’t had a chance to do much reading. Happy Holidays!
Yes, that’s Z-baby in the picture.
Thanks for hosting! I just linked.
I had knee surgery on Monday so I’ve read a number of books while keeping my leg elevated. I did a post of “mini reviews” of six because I can’t sit at the computer for long.
Thank you, and have a blessed Christmas!
Laura
Merry Christmas!
I *love* this quote, which makes me feel much better knowing that I got almost everyone books for Christmas this year 🙂 Merry Christmas to you too!
