A book reads the better which is our own, and has been so long known to us, that we know the topography of its blots, and dog’s ears, and can trace the dirt in it to having read it at tea with buttered muffins.”
Charles Lamb
Welcome to this week’s Saturday Review of Books. Here’s how it works. Find a review on your blog posted sometime this week of a book you’re reading or a book you’ve read. The review doesn’t have to be a formal sort of thing. You can just write your thoughts on a particular book, a few ideas inspired by reading the book, your evaluation, quotations, whatever.
Now post a link here to the specific post where you’ve written your book review. Don’t link to your main blog page because this kind of link makes it hard to find the book review, especially when people drop in later after you’ve added new content to your blog. In parentheses after your name, add the title of the book you’re reviewing. This addition will help people to find the reviews they’re most interested in reading.

Unfortunately I did not enjoy this book – better luck next time, I guess!
Thanks for hosting!
Love the quote, there is nothing better than a well read book! Thanks for hosting, Sherry.
I goofed up in posting. Mistyped my own name!
I am caught up on my book stack of reproach! I’ve posted reviews of everything I’ve read. Whoops, almost, just remembered one I forgot. But it’s my moviestack of reproach that’s taunting me now. I read about Last One In at Entertainment Weekly, and it was a good, fun yet informative read. I find that if they give something a good review one week and follow it up in the Hot List the next week, it’s usually something to check out.
I had to add another little blurb on “A Wrinkle in Time” – here. 🙂
Hi Sherry, Could you delete #82 and #83 for me? The links I used don’t work – I’ve already put in the right ones. Thanks!
Really, my goal is not to make more work for you. Now I have to entries for the same review of Austenland. The second one (#93) is the correct entry since I managed to get the book title included.
