It is not true that we have only one life to live; if we can read, we can live as many more lives and as many kinds of lives as we wish.”
S.I. Hayakawa
Welcome to this week’s Saturday Review of Books. Here’s how it works. Find a review on your blog posted sometime this week of a book you’re reading or a book you’ve read. The review doesn’t have to be a formal sort of thing. You can just write your thoughts on a particular book, a few ideas inspired by reading the book, your evaluation, quotations, whatever.
Now post a link here to the specific post where you’ve written your book review. Don’t link to your main blog page because this kind of link makes it hard to find the book review, especially when people drop in later after you’ve added new content to your blog. In parentheses after your name, add the title of the book you’re reviewing. This addition will help people to find the reviews they’re most interested in reading.

Thanks to everyone for reviewing, blogging, and linking.
Saturday Reviews: Alphabetical by Title. (an unfinished list)
Don’t forget to join in on the Saturday Review of Books Reading Challenge.
My book this week was an exploration book set in Labrador. For me it ranked right up there with the exploits of Scott, Amundsen, Peary, and others.
I finished two more books this week for Saturday Review challenge:
Death of a Salesman
Nactar in a Sieve
along with
tuesdays with Morrie
Leave it to Psmith
Thats make it four in total.
I’m curious to hear others’ responses to Jerry Spinelli’s “Eggs.” Did you like the characters?
Sherry, thanks for stopping by my blog last week. I hope you enjoy “Dragon’s Keep” as much as I did!
Hi Sherry! I read This Is Your Brain on Music awhile back. It’s the work of a neuropsychologist who also happens to be a professional musician. I’m primarily blogging it for my Asperger’s site…but it is such interesting stuff!!
I do recommend the book -but one may want to skim the obligatory evolution mumbo jumbo
Thanks for linking up the reviews on Saturdays.
I left a link for a new book of nonfiction for adults, “The Year of the Goat: 40,000 Miles and the Quest for the Perfect Cheese,” by Margaret Hathaway.
So sorry – haven’t had my coffee yet! I forgot to add the title after my name on my first attempt. Feel free to delete that one.
I’ve been listening to Steinbeck, compliments of my local library. The Pearl is a short novella about a man who found a great pearl and the impact that find had on his life. Think lottery winners.
Boy Toy is a teen novel that I fully expect to see on the Banned Books list next year, and for that reason, you shouldn’t miss it.
Thanks for the links list! Very interesting to see what everyone is reading. I’m on to Angela’s Ashes by Frank McCourt, and Sin by Josephine Hart. Does anyone else keep a separate book upstairs and downstairs? 🙂
