We interrupt this 48 Hour Book Challenge for a non-commercial announcement. All book reviewers, please consider yourself invited to link your reviews here whether they’re part of the 48 Hour Book Challenge or not. Thank you. You may now return to your weekend reading.
Welcome to this week’s Saturday Review of Books. Here’s how it works. Find a review on your blog posted sometime this week of a book you’re reading or a book you’ve read. The review doesn’t have to be a formal sort of thing. You can just write your thoughts on a particular book, a few ideas inspired by reading the book, your evaluation, quotations, whatever.
Now post a link here to the specific post where you’ve written your book review. Don’t link to your main blog page because this kind of link makes it hard to find the book review, especially when people drop in later after you’ve added new content to your blog. In parentheses after your name, add the title of the book you’re reviewing. This addition will help people to find the reviews they’re most interested in reading.

Saturday Reviews: Alphabetical by Title. (an unfinished list)
I am so glad the weekend is here. I hope you have a good one!
I wrote about Winter Holiday, a book I’m in the middle of reading aloud to my daughter, and I also linked to a list of brief reviews of a few books I’ve read recently.
Happy Sunny Saturday!
This week we offer our chat about an imaginitive sleeping beauty meets sibling rivalry, which has been aptly referrred to as “Scribbling Rivalry” — ‘Scribble’ by Deborah Freedman.
Thanks for the roundup Sherry!
“Missing May” is the 1993 Newbery winner – I think best for kids 12 & up, given that the subject matter is rather dark (losing a parent). It is a beautiful story about learning to live with grief, and searching for meaning, however. Also – the author – Cynthia Rylant – is the writer of many younger kid’s books, including the “Henry & Mudge” books.
I’m back, after a shortage of recent reviews… Thanks for keeping this up, Sherry.
Mine is not a review, but it is a big deal in my life, as I have waited a long long time to read Narnia to my kids.
I linked to my review of the new release Austenland by Shannon Hale!
WOW! Sherry. I just noticed the alphabetical list of reviews listed from Mister Linky. What a great idea! Thank you for sharing and doing this weekly. I truly appreciate it. 🙂
