Folks, we’re way over budget, and I’m looking for ways to save money. Here’s what I’ve found so far. Any other useful sugggestions will be appreciated and used and linked. Put your suggestion in the comments or give a link to it. If I can use it, I’ll link here. Don’t tell me to cut out the luxury items; as far as we’re concerned, we have no luxuries.
Flourescent light bulbs can save this much money? I never knew.
If you have any other really good money-saving tips, you could leave them here for poor little me and if you’ve blogged about them, you could also leave a link at Works-for-Me Wednesday at Shannon’s Rocks in My Dryer.
You’ll find some great advice here.

Dollar Stretcher has archives full of useful advice for saving money and frugal living. It saved our budget many times.
grrr. It’s The Dollar Stretcher (forgot the http://).
Think about joining thegrocerygame.com. It shows you how to combine sales and coupons and build a stockpile in your pantry. I save anywhere from 30%-60% on groceries. She used to let you try the first four week for a dollar–not sure if that deal is still there. But it costs me barely $2 a week to save 10x or more of that amount.
But what you need to do, no matter what ideas you use to save money, is to really save it–in other words, if your savings at the grocery was $25, that $25 should go into a savings account. You’ll be amazed at how fast it builds up. And it can be an emergency fund to dip into if the car breaks down, the washing machine blows a gasket…or any other fun things we have to live with!
Good luck…believe me, as someone fighting to pay off debt, I’m with you 100%
