Diary of a Wimpy Kid, by Jeff Kinney

I have read this book, and I think it rocks! It starts out with him (the wimpy kid) saying that it is a journal and that he told his mom not to get one with the word “diary” mentioned anywhere in it. The book is about a boy named Greg Hefley. He loves video games and whenever he is grounded from them he sneaks a game to his friend Rowley’s house and plays it there. I guess that you could call this guy a… how should I put it… well he is very… moronic. Of course, I can’t really say that because he doesn’t do much that would make him a moron and he usually is the one, in his journal of course, calling other people morons. He has a brother named Rodrick. Rodrick has a band called “Loded Diper”. Of course, that isn’t how you spell it, and if you told Rodrick that, it would be news to him! Later in the book, he gets a job as a school paper cartoon writer. He and Rowley were going to use a comic called “Zoo-Wee Mama!”. They gave up on that one and used a comic called “Creightin the Cretin”. This book is very funny, and I hope that everyone else who reads it loves it as much as I did!

  9. As far as I know, there are only two Diary of A Wimpy Kid books. Or are you asking if there are any other books SIMILAR to these books. If so… well I can’t really say any off of the top of my head. Hope I could help!

  14. Story Summary

    The book, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, takes place in a city with Greg Heffley, a young, 7th grade boy in his second year of middle school with his best friend, Rowley, which he has been best friends with him since he was five. Greg gets a diary to write down his thoughts, feeling or what he did that day and because of it, he gets to skip one chore of his choosing. But if this diary was to fall into the wrong hands, then Greg’s life would be ruined. Greg Heffley and his friend Rowley are dorks in their school, hoping to survive middle school, but when Rowley’s fame starts to grow, Greg must take extreme measures to save their friendship. Greg is also having trouble at home, especially since his dad says he might have to send Greg to military school if Greg doesn’t get tougher and to make things worse, Greg’s big brother, Rodrick, constantly picks on him on a daily basis picks on him.
    Their goal is to get through middle school alive. Together, Rowley and Greg go through new many experiences. For example, when Rowley and Gregory were walking down the road on Halloween some teenagers were driving by in their truck and made them spill all of their candy and then Gregory yelled that they were going to call the cops. Then, the teenagers stopped driving and chased after them but luckily Gregory’s grandma lived across the street. So then they eventually got to their house but every year on Halloween Greg’s dad splashes water on the teenagers but accidentally got Rowley and Greg so all their candy got wet. The next day it was school again so Gregory drove by Grandma’s house which was tipied by the teenagers.

  33. i have read two of these books and they are amazing!these books are soo funny. it’s based on a kid nammmed greg heffley(wimpy kid)who’s mom bought him a diary but gregg wanted a journal the DIDN’T have the word ‘diary’.and he loves video games and whenever he is grounded from them he sneaks a game to his friend Rowley’s house and plays it there.He also has a older brother named Rodrick.
