Welcome to this week’s Saturday Review of Books, the Hurricane Ike edition.

Here’s how it works. Find a review on your blog posted sometime this week of a book you’re reading or a book you’ve read. The review doesn’t have to be a formal sort of thing. You can just write your thoughts on a particular book, a few ideas inspired by reading the book, your evaluation, quotations, whatever.

Don’t link to your main blog page because this kind of link makes it hard to find the book review, especially when people drop in later after you’ve added new content to your blog.   3. I was away last week in SC, outside of Columbia, and am happy to be home in MN, and thinking calm thoughts for those near the hurricane(s). I continue on my Hamlet related binge, with graphic novels thrown in for contrast.

  6. I’m not sure why but every time I post to Mr. Linky here and elsewhere, I have a smiley face after my link. Is it something that I need to check with the Mr. Linky blog? Or anything you might know what I’m doing wrong? If I’m doing anything wrong, that is, and it’s not a glitch?

  7. Unfinished: I think you’re the onlyone who can see the smiley face onyour link, and if you click on it you can edit or delete your link if you made a mistake. So you’re not doing anything wrong.
