One must be drenched in words, literally soaked in them, to have the right ones form themselves into the proper patterns at the right moment.
Hart Crane, poet (1899-1932)
Welcome to this week’s Saturday Review of Books. Here’s how it works. Find a review on your blog posted sometime this week of a book you’re reading or a book you’ve read. The review doesn’t have to be a formal sort of thing. You can just write your thoughts on a particular book, a few ideas inspired by reading the book, your evaluation, quotations, whatever.
Now post a link here to the specific post where you’ve written your book review. Don’t link to your main blog page because this kind of link makes it hard to find the book review, especially when people drop in later after you’ve added new content to your blog. In parentheses after your name, add the title of the book you’re reviewing. This addition will help people to find the reviews they’re most interested in reading.
Thanks to everyone for reviewing, blogging, and linking.
Saturday Reviews: Alphabetical by Title. (an unfinished list)
I wouldn’t normally have 3 in one week — it just worked out that way this time, plus I was finishing up the “Spring Reading Thing” challenge or else I would have spaced them out a little bit.
Love the new look!
I was on vacation this past week and managed to fit in quite a bit of reading thanks to long car rides and evenings sitting on the porch. I spent a lot of time in Africa as you can tell my my reviews. 🙂
It has been a delectable week of reading synthesis: connections have been winding their way through different books, gloriously capturing me.
When I was here yesterday checking out the new site, I saw that alphabetical list of reviews and that is truly awesome!
I love the new blog layout. Your list of links to everyone’s Reviews is really impressive!
This week I finished two on my “Summer Reading” List. One was the novel on which the John Wayne classic True Grit was based on. Surprisingly the movie was pretty faithful to the book. The other was a challenging book to “live without the mask.”
Your new site looks great!!
I really enjoy this feature of your blog! Thank you for doing this. (I am having trouble posting a comment and so it is my hope this does not show up several times.)
I have read three romance novels this week. Do they count for anything?
Again, thanks for doing this. I’ve been reading less, so reviewing less. Just shy of 1500 pages, A Suitable Boy took me over three weeks to finish, but was well worth it. Your new theme looks great, and I love the new color.
Sorry for leaving 2 links. I stuffed up the first one 🙂

Ok … I’m a total Newbie fool. This is my very first time blogging (always late to parties) and I listed my site’s name in parenthesis instead of the book. The book is an advance reader’s edition of the novel “Away” by Amy Bloom which arrives in stores in August. So sorry … maybe as admin you can change it?
